Iconic British department store John Lewis has teamed up with renowned cutting edge fashion talents Tatty Devine, Beatrix Ong, Eley Kishimoto and Todd Lynn to create an exclusive collection of Sunglasses.

The collection, which will launch this month across stores and Online, will consist of eight pairs of sunglasses – two pairs created by each designer – and will offer classic, edgy, retro and outrageous designs. The range includes a bow-tie shaped pair of sunglasses, designed by Tatty Devine, which come in a retro fifties-style and red polka-dots. Beatrix Ong has designed a timeless pair of aviators and a pair of oversized frames while Eley Kishimoto’s designs include circular polka-dot glasses and white print wayfarers. Todd Lynn has designed a retro-style pair of two-toned frames as well as a pair of aviators designed with a twist.

Commenting on the collaboration, Amanda Scott, Head of Accessories and Beauty Buying at John Lewis said “This is the first time John Lewis has collaborated on a sunglasses collection and we’re thrilled to have secured such an interesting and diverse group of designers to work with us – especially since this is a first for two of them. We all know that a statement pair of sunglasses can completely change the way you feel – not to mention the way you look. Some glasses can add edge to an outfit, others add mystery or humour and others add pure unadulterated glamour. We’re hoping we’ve covered off all ‘moods’ with our new limited edition lines.”

The collection includes many must-have creations for fashion lovers all over the country. For those that like quirky and individual style, there is a pair of sunglasses to suit you.

Designer Tatty Davine commented: “When we started designing these sunglasses for John Lewis, we wanted to make them very ‘Tatty Devine’ and looked at using one of our signature designs as a source of inspiration. We wanted to make something glamorous, distinctive as well as being fun and decided to work around the idea of a bow tie. We love the way the shape has an oversized 1970’s feel, but at the same time has the essence of a cat eye lens. We also like the way that when put on top of the head, it will look like a big bow in your hair!”

Each designer’s sunglasses will have individual price tags as followed:

Tatty Devine – Polkadot £65 ; Black £65

Beatrix Ong – Aviators £85 ; Round £85

Eley Kishimoto – Round £65 ; Wayfarers £65

Todd Lynn – £85 ; £85
