Last night’s Golden Globes awards saw hundreds of celebrities wearing gorgeous flowing gowns in flattering shapes and colours and although they all looked lovely, many of them failed to stand out from the rest.

Thank goodness then, for Helena Bonham Carter who rocked up to the awards show in a pair of funky sunglasses and a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood gown with structured bodice and net detailing; but it was her footwear that really stood out as she turned up wearing one red and one green shoe!

She’s certainly hit the headlines today thanks to her odd footwear, but commenting on her outfit, Helena said: “If you’re going to spend three hours getting ready you may as well go for it.” She also told reporters that her outfit was born out of indecision and she pulled the dress out of her wardrobe earlier that day.
