ASOS Africa Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

Submitted by on Monday, 25 October 2010 | No Comment

Back in February of this year, ASOS announced their brand new ASOS Africa collection. It went down a storm and quickly sold out, so it is great to hear that the collection is now launching it’s Autumn/Winter 2010 line.

This year, the ASOS Africa collection has been produced in collaboration with Soko and several small communities in Africa, which enable underprivileged communities to establish sustainable businesses through their local craftsmanship. The collection, which is already available for purchase has a sporty theme, using traditional African fabrics and exclusively designed kitenge fabrics to create great shapes such as printed paper bag skirts, wrap dresses, figure-hugging maxis, dungarees and skater skirts.

The pieces are full of fabulous colours such as black and white with hints of strong yellows and greens. You can also expect tapered trousers, dungarees, capes and printed blazers for the ultimate eye-popping fashion statement.

Each piece comes packaged in its own pouch made from kanga fabric with a hgandmade coconut button fastening and range from £25 – £75. Available from ASOS.com
