Kim Kardashian: Copy her Make-up

Kim Kardashian’s makeup is flawless.  Her makeup here, which is for The Celebrity Skeeball Tournament in New York (I just had to look up ‘skeeball’ and apparently it’s like playing bowling except you roll the ball uphill– bonkers) is a perfect example of this; she looks fresh and pretty but oozes sexy glamour.

Kim talks makeup in her blog, so be sure to check it out. Here are my recommendations to achieve the look she’s wearing above without having to hire a makeup artist or break the bank!

Skin

The best way to get airbrush-perfect looking skin like Kim is to wear a good primer under your foundation (or you can even use it without foundation). Primers glide over pores and fine lines, making them less obvious. Try NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep, £23, or L’Oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer, £12.99. Both should make skin appear smoother, while helping your base look more even and last longer.

Kim seems to have gone for a foundation with a soft matte finish, which gives her skin that flawless but still natural look. Try a cream-to-powder foundation for a similar effect, such as Urban Decay‘s new ‘Surreal Skin’, £18. Kim’s undereye area always looks perfectly concealed and radiant. Bobbi Brown‘s Creamy Concealer kit, £23 is a great option if you need a bit of help in looking wide awake and fresh! The concealer itself does evens out the darkest of circles and the colour co-ordinating powder stops the concealer from looking cakey, providing a matte and natural finish.

Eyes

Kim’s is well known for her smoky eye makeup and glam lashes. For this look, apply a soft camel coloured shadow up to the browbone. Then blend a golden brown all over the lid, and then apply a dark brown in the outer corner, blending it into the crease. The colours in the Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio in ‘Mordore Chic’ (£7.30 from ASOS) are perfect for achieving this look. Apply black eyeliner and lashings of mascara to get Kim’s attention-grabbing look!

Cheeks

The peachy-bronzey cheek colour Kim is wearing is perfect for summer and just lifts the whole look. Try Benefit Coralista, £23.50, applying it just under your cheekbone and sweeping it up towards your cheeks for Kim’s contoured look.

Lips

The neutral pink gloss Kim is wearing ties the look together without competing for attention with the dramatic eyes. Barry M‘s Glossy Tube in Candy Pink would look amazing with this look, and it’s a bargainous £3.50!
