The Front Row: Paris Fashion Week 2013

Paris Fashion Week is always an important date in the fashion lovers diary, but who did we spy perched in the notorious front row? These celebrity attendees upped the style ante at Paris Fashion Week.

Technically, the recent Paris Fashion Week was actually for designers’ Spring/Summer 2014 collections. The most romantic of the Fashion Week settings, Paris is well known for its impeccably dressed and impossibly chic ladies.

Through the end of September to the beginning of October, the fashion event showcases ready to wear pieces from both established and up and coming designers.

Designers who have already worked the runway include Ellie Saab, with her spectacular embellished flowing evening gowns, and Balmain, with Rosie Huntington-Whitely walking for them.

So, with a lot to live up to, these stylish celebs headed to France’s capital to hold their own among the fashion masses.

M.I.A

Singer and rapper M.I.A eschewed any allusions to prim and proper French style with her patterned leggings, cartoonish sunglasses and patent PVC coat. She also added bright red low heeled boots to add to the eclectic and eye-catching look.

Anna Wintour

Editor-In-Chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour is a name synonymous with attending fashion shows. She keeps the look very Parisian chic in a check print midi dress with pink cardigan thrown over her shoulders, ticking three autumnal trends, as a fashion editor should.

Selma Hayek

Actress Selma Hayek looked bold in monochrome, sporting black and white printed dress, oversized statement sunglasses (matching M.I.A’s), and a boxy black bag. With her hair in a simple up-do she showcased her simple but elegant (and clearly very expensive) glitzy drop earrings.

Olivia Palermo

Socialite Olivia Palermo expertly executed the tartan trend in a smart shift dress with added exposed zip detail for a more edgy look. She softened this with over-the-knee grey suede boots. She finished the outfit off with a messy plait, oversized sunglasses, simple darn green clutch and a flash of red on her nails. A perfect combination of ladylike, fashionable and effortless styling.
