Victoria Beckham launched her latest collection yesterday at New York Fashion Week. The collection is inspired by American comic strip detective Dick Tracy and contemporary dance pioneer Martha Graham and is the fourth collection since her label launch in September 2008.

The models looked like clones of the famous singer and fashion idol as they strutted down the runway in oversized sunglasses and skyscraper heels. The clothes themselves were a mixture of intense, cartoon like colours with masses of draping on backs and necklines as well as puffed hemlines.

Commenting on her latest collection Victoria said: “I feel the clothes express how my own personal style has evolved, more relaxed, a little more slouchy, but still structured.”

“But, I’m still learning,’ she admitted. “I still feel I need to prove myself – all my life I’ve had to prove myself. Each season, I have to better myself. I really want to grow as a designer.”
