Madonna’s Boyfriend, Brahim Zaibat Launches New Fashion Line

It was a bit surprising when Madonna revealed her romance with Brahim Zaibat, a 25-year-old dancer. Well, he’s not just a dancer anymore… Brahim is due to release his new fashion line “Defend” which features an AK47 rifle as the logo.

Madonna has already been spotted wearing a hoodie from the line to support her eye candy. Rihanna and Chris Brown have also reportedly taken an interest in the fashion range too, which is likely to receive many other celebrity fans. Let’s face it, if you have Madonna on your arm, you’re likely to be a few steps up in the priority list for fashion lines. Brahim has already been introduced to Ricardo Tisci, the Creative Director of Givenchy and since then, Brahim has been seen on the front row of his shows. Seems like the high profile networking is paying off.

Guns For a Good Cause

The line itself appears to be inspired by Madonna’s MDMA world tour, which featured lots of gun-filled imagery and even had Madonna posing with a gun on stage. It’s nice to see that Brahim has incorporated a bit of Madonna’s vibe at the moment.  Naturally, the use of guns in the line has sparked some controversy but a portion of the proceeds from every sale will be donated to a charity of the buyer’s choice. According to the charity selected, the emblem on the hoodies will differ so guns won’t be on every single item.

Did Madonna’s Clothing Line Inspire Brahim?

Perhaps Brahim has taken inspiration from Madonna’s own clothing line “Material Girl”. Her daughter, Lourdes helped design the range which is being sold in Macy’s stores in the US. The brand is aimed at teenagers and is inspired by styles from the 1980s. With tutu skirts and biker jackets, the line is edgy but targets teenagers well.

Rita Ora Chosen as Face of Material Girl

Recently, Rita Ora signed a £500k deal to become the face of the line. In a statement, the duo commented “Rita is a talented beauty but what really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style. On stage or off, in photos or on the street – she’s a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about!”
