With a heat wave predicted to be on the way, now is the perfect time to throw on your cute vests and skirts with a pair of sandals and get out into the sunshine. It’s the perfect time to show off your fashion credentials in a gorgeous maxi dress and a pair of sunnies or keep things cool in some high waisted shorts and a cute sleeveless blouse.

And what we really love to do in the sun is party and listen to our fave bands at yearly festivals. Although there might be plenty of rain and mud, the sun does poke it’s head out of the clouds occasionally and although it might be a pleasant feeling to have a drink in hand, your favourite band on stage and the sun beaming down, it’s important to remember that the sun can do us more harm than good.

Girls Aloud singer and now solo artist, Nicola Roberts has signed up to appear as the face of Cancer Research UK’s SunSmart Campaign. Every day, two young people are diagnosed with malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer and like many other people, this is an important issue to Nicola, whose porcelain complexion makes her more likely to burn from the sun’s rays. As well as raising awareness of skin cancer caused by the sun, Nicola and the SunSmart campaign are giving away eight pairs of tickets to T4 On The Beach this July.

Eight lucky winners will win Golden Circle Tickets to T4’s hottest must festival. Watch the video below for more information:
