The Queen’s Launer London Handbag Worn at the Royal Wedding Sends Sales Rising
It’s been almost two weeks since the Royal wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William, but companies and brands are still benefiting greatly from sales increases of products worn by Royalty on the day.
We’ve already seen replicas of Kate’s LK Bennett Wedges, gorgeous Cornflower Blue Zara dress and even her McQueen wedding dress, but now it’s time for Kate to step aside and let another member of the Royal family step into the fashion limelight.
At 85 years old, the Queen has now managed to have a glimpse into life as a style icon after she carried a boxy and understated cream handbag from Launer London when she attended the Royal wedding. After the Queen was spotted carrying the bag, whilst wearing a primrose Yellow Angela Kelly wedding outfit, the Launer brand has announced an increase in sales of 60%. The bag label is reportedly one of the Queen’s absolute favourites and she has been spotted carrying a variety of their bags at past public appearances.
The 70 year old British handbag brand couldn’t be happier to be supplying the Queen with their luxurious designs. They recently released a statement saying: “It shows a real move towards more reserved and understated bags after the It bag movement (and also, shows that it wasn’t just Kate that had an impact on fashion tastes).” The company, who often cater for the over 50’s have also reported the increase to be amongst women much younger than their target age.
The Launer brand creates bespoke handbags that are understated, elegant and classic and are all made from gorgeous leathers. Now the ‘it’ bag movement has passed, perhaps something like the Launer London bag could take it’s place?
