Knitwear fashion designer, Craig Lawrence

London Fashion Week (LFW) is here and the talent on show is set to be very inspiring.

Planning to make an everlasting impression at the capital’s fashion event is Suffolk’s own designer, Craig Lawrence, whose collection was on show today.

The Central Saint Martins graduate has a passion for knitwear, a signature style he describes as using “unconventional materials to create voluminous, fluffy and shiny knits”.

With new names making the headlines and established, striving fashionistas continuing to put their work out there, having their work on show at LFW is a big moment for many who have their hearts set on a career in the fashion world.

Drawing inspiration from factors as simple as “the moon at twilight”, Craig also finds artistic influences in his surroundings around the capital.  “I love the museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green and the V&A Museum.  I also adore hunting around DIY and 99p shops”, he reveals.

Having already created knitwear for English fashion designer, Gareth Pugh, what’s next on this young man’s list?  Well unfortunately for us he remains tight lipped about that, but everyone needs knitwear right?

Keep an eye out for this one London.
