One of the biggest trends for the past few seasons has been the idea of dressing in masculine cuts and shapes, channeling an androgynous look. Think boyfriend blazer, chunky brogues and loafers, tailored trousers, dicky bows and briefcases. This trend is really fun and allows you to play with proportions and the fit of clothes. This look was particularly big on the catwalk for this season, and is a great way to mix up your workwear for a more fashion forward approach to the suit.

I’ve come with two looks that channel the trend using Ebay’s Fashion Outlet, each under £100. First up is a play on the grey work suit. I’ve gone for the usual fitted jacket and teamed it with some silky tapered trousers in the same colour. Wear these turned up with some flat loafers, the ultimate masculine footwear! Tuck in a bright coloured ruffle blouse , such as this fuchsia one that adds a feminine splash of colour. Finish off with a large shoulder bag and you have a look perfect for the office.

The next look I’ve created is a lot more funky and fun, perfect for girly girls who don’t want to wear the usual skirt or dress for a party. I’ve gone for a boyfriend style white shirt and classic wide leg black trousers for a crisp, polished look. For a quirky twist I’ve added a black bow tie. This look would be best worn with a messy up do aas to not lose the detail at the neck.  Again, for a feminine touch I’ve added the hot pink bag and courts. Wear the same colour on the lips for a real statement.
