Street Style: Wear Denim With A Difference Like Katie

For today’s Street Style feature, I thought I’d show you all the gorgeous Katie, who I photographed a couple of weeks ago. I love her mix of pretty, grungy and sophisticated, with her chunky lace up boots, delicate jewelry and chic fitted jacket, but most of all I adore her denim dress. Denim is such a versatile thing to wear, but jeans and shorts can sometimes get a bit repetitive and boring.

Why not mix things up with a denim dress like Katie has? She’s shown how to use a summer piece, but still style it up in colder weather.

Katie wears a Vintage jacket, Denim Dress from Miss Selfridge, Necklace from Accessorize and Boots from a Charity Shop in Poland.

To copy Katie’s look, team a denim Summer dress with a jacket in a contrasting shade of blue. Accessorise with a floral tote bag and lace up worker style boots. Add tights to finish the look on colder days.

To re-work the look  for Summer, simply restyle the denim dress. This time, team it with a fine knit cardigan, again in a contrasting blue shade. Swap your boots for ultra cool gladiator sandals or some tan wedges, and rather than a tote bag, invest in a fringed shoulder bag the same colour as your footwear. Two completely different ways to wear just one dress, all year round!
