Untitled Claiming the prestigious title back in 2005, Christopher Bailey has won over the fashion world once again as he was named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2009.

Chief director of the exclusive fashion label, Burberry, Christopher Bailey is responsible for all aspects of the label; from it’s overall image, to advertising and store design, to it’s collections and product lines. Bailey has certainly worked his magic as Burberry has now become a household name as well as a global hit in the fashion industry, so we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of the award.

The Designer of the Year award completes a wonderful year for the fashion designer as earlier this year he received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list as well as having his Burberry Prorsum collection showcased at September’s London Fashion Week.

Not only did Christopher Bailey win Designer of the Year award but Burberry also won the Designer Brand award. During his acceptance speech, Christopher announced that his Burberry Prorsum collection would continue to show at February’s London Fashion Week 2010.
