Trend Edit: The Pink Coat

Submitted by on Thursday, 17 October 2013 | No Comment

One of the biggest new trends of the season is the pink coat. Whether you go for sugary pastel or eye-popping bright, there’s a way to make it work for you. Take a look at our Trend Edit for some inspiration.

The Pink Coat: Look 1

This shearling lined, biker style coat looks incredibly comfy and is bang on trend in it’s pastel pink hue, with the biker style giving it a stylish edge. Keep the look comfy and casual with these patterned leggings from River Island, cute polar bear motif jumper from Dorothy Perkins and watch and bracelet set, also from Dorothy Perkins. Lace your feet up in these black leather boots by New Kid which nod towards the biker style.

The Pink Coat: Look 2

For a smarter look, opt for this pink coat from River Island, with bold black detailing in the buttons and fur collar. This coat lends itself to a more tailored look, so wear it with a check monochrome shift dress by Tokyo Doll and berry coloured accessories in keeping with the pink hue but with a more wintry twist. These heeled shoe boots are from Office and are a great addition to any working wardrobe, and this structured bag is by Paul’s Boutique and is sensible enough for work but with a fun twist with the pink tassel. The jewelled necklace from Asos is the finishing touch.

The Pink Coat: Look 3

For my final look I have chosen a brighter pink in a retro swing style coat from Topshop, which is such a great snuggly statement piece. For a great daytime look, start off with some blue acid wash jeans from New Look, which will look great against the colour of the coat, and an abstract print top from River Island. Roll up the bottom of the jeans to show off some chunky knit socks from River Island with these pastel, patent brogues from Asos for a feminine take on androgyny. Add an eclectic twist with this metallic silver satchel from The Leather Satchel Company.

How will you style yours?
