Iconic British supermodel, Kate Moss, is to pose for the cover of Playboy’s 60th Anniversary Issue, which also ties in with her 40th birthday, just a month after the copy will hit the shops.

Kate Moss has appeared on many a famous magazine cover and is no stranger to baring all for the camera, but has never before posed for Playboy. It’s only fitting that someone with the status of our Kate should feature on a special edition issue.

Hugh Hefner said: ‘She’s a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modelling. It’s a natural for us.’

Playboy’s editorial director added to this statement, saying: ‘This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. On the front cover Kate is garbed in the traditional Playboy bunny get up (bunny ears, wrist cuffs, black stockings…) but will probably work it in her signature supermodel style: effortlessly sexy with a hint of grunge, and of course those razor sharp cheekbones.

Other high profile covers have included:
