How to Create Snakeskin Nails By Maybelline

Submitted by on Wednesday, 17 August 2011 | No Comment

Snakeskin seems to be the key fashion trend for autumn/winter 2011 and it would appear that the trend is already cropping up with the trendsetting celebrities. Lady Gaga was spotted in a Versace yellow and black snakeskin dress this weekend and remember those snakeskin trousers Kate Moss was sporting whilst at Glastonbury this year? It would seem that snakeskin can look great no matter what the occasion or style.

There are quite a few options to don the snakeskin trend but have you ever thought of trying out snakeskin nails? No…we don’t mean actual snakesin as that would be extremely unethical of us, but snakeskin inspired.

Well, Maybelline New York Nail Expert, David shows us how to create snakeskin nails using their products. David tells us how his snakeskin look was inspired by the catwalk trends this season and if you’re looking to rock the snakeskin trend but want to try something different then this is definitely an option worth looking at.

Watch the video below as David talks us through how to get the snakeskin nail look using various Maybelline nail products.  We’ve had a peek of the video already and the finished nails look amazing.  It might require a little patience however the results are certainly worth it.

To get the look you will need the following:

  1. Maybelline Salon ManicureBase Coat
  2. Maybelline Forever Young Taupe Coutoure
  3. Maybelline Forever Strong in Golden Brown
  4. A Small Sponge
  5. Netting
