Kate Middleton Gives Kensington Palace a Style Revamp
Kate Middleton is not only making a name for herself in the fashion world as a style icon, she is now turning her attentions to her own marital home, Kensington Palace.
Kate Middleton is used to a modern, contemporary and fresh environment, something which English Palaces don’t always offer. So when Kate knew she was to move into Kensington Palace after her wedding, the Duchess was adamant that something had to be done about the décor.
With a next month being the proposed date for them to move into their marital home Kate Middleton has already been making a fair few adjustments to Kensington Palace to bring it into this century.
I am pretty sure there will be more improvements to be come however to start with the Duchess of Cambridge has ordered an entire crate of candles to the 17th century palace to ditch the ‘old fuddy duddy smell’.
Kate might be thrifty when it comes to her fashion sense however she has pulled out all the stops when it comes to getting her home smelling the way she wants it and spent £900 on pure white ‘Scent 1’ fragrances. Also to modernise the furnishings, Kate has ordered some minimalist cushions to ensure that the home feels modern and light.
The newlyweds are moving into the four-bedroom cottage within the grounds of Kensington Palace next month so it will be interesting to see what other changes she will be making to the home. Do we think she will be making a quick trip to Habitat for more household furnishings? We’ll keep you update on the developments.
