With summer around the corner, there is no doubt you will be wanting to get out into the garden more often and give that greenery some love and attention.

However green seems to also be a hot new colours this season for your interiors and a great space to use this is in your living room.  It promotes calmness and the colour has been known to relieve stress so what better place to position this then your living space.

We love this green living room seen below,  so if you’re in love with it as much as we are here are our helpful tips on how to recreate and get the look below…

Create and Buy This Look!

1. Dulux Wall Paint – £
2. Dulux Door Paint - £
3. Next Chest of Drawers £399
4. Next Lamp £45
5. John Lewis Sofa @ £999
6. Debenhams Cushion @ £22
7. John Lewis Chair @ £699
8. Made Table @ £329
9. Selfridges Vase @ £299

Colours

You can see that the walls have been coloured in one block green colour, however to add depth to the room, the doors and the frames have been painted in a different shade.  Now if you feel that this might be a little dark for your room try and go for lighter colours on your doors and skirting boards.  Maybe beige which is still emphasises nature but offer a more lighter and airy feel.

A complementary and colour which allows the green in this room to stand out is the grey.  You can see that the grey has been used on the floor to offers a cool and calmness to the interior and is definitely a different alternative to the brown wooden flooring we often  see to compliment green living rooms.

Accessories and Furniture

The key to get this look is also think colour and shades for your furniture and your accessories.  I like how this room has used greys as well as greens for its furniture rather than opting for just one colour for its furniture.  To add a touch of a botanics and be at one with mother nature think of green plants and green acessories such as vases and pillows.
