Last night the 68th Annual Golden Globes award show took place and all eyes were on the red carpet, eager to spy the best and worst dressed celebrities walking the red carpet. Last night, the eagle eyed amongst us would have spotted a trend reoccurring through out the night – emerald green!

It was certainly the colour of the night and contrasted brilliantly against the bright red carpet. Four stunning actresses showed up to the ceremony wearing the bold colour. Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta Jones led the pack in a strapless Monique Lhuiller emerald green ball gown which she teamed with a sophisticated up do and drop diamond earrings.

Best Supporting Actress nominee, Mila Kunis, wore a one shouldered Vera Wang emerald gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, while Elisabeth Moss showed up in a custom made Donna Karen strapless piece. But it was megastar Angelina Jolie that really caused the gossips to go into overdrive as the usually black clad beauty appeared at the ceremony in a structured long sleeved Versace gown.
