David Koma was previously a hot one to watch designer who’s dresses have been worn by the likes of Cheryl Cole and Beyonce. He has also designed some extremely fashionable and slightly edgy pieces for his collections at Topshop and this week, David Koma has launched his Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collection at London Fashion Week.

At just 24 years old, David has won the Harrod’s Design Award thanks to his 2009 MA Graduate Collection and not only have his dresses been worn by top singers, but they’ve also been worn by A-list actress Megan Fox.

David’s signature style is sculptural shapes with heavy embellishment and he managed to work that signature style into his Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collection using fine fabrics such as wool, leather and suede. The dresses all have a figure hugging concept to them, with geometric and triangular shapes to create a look inspired by Italian futurists, Fortunato Depero, and Umberto Boccion.

As well as dresses there were also jackets and coats which were covered in razor sharp spikes, representing sharks teeth. The pieces were all shades of greys, blacks and beige and many consisted of bold and sharp edged shapes.
