An Intimate Ceremony: Elle Macpherson Marries In Fiji
Nobody saw it coming, but Elle Macpherson is officially married to Jeff Soffer, after they tied the knot in the beautiful island of Fiji.
The couple had a very private, intimate ceremony with friends and family. After 5 months of being engaged, I suppose the couple found that is was the right time and certainly the right place!
Elle and Jeff have been in an on-off relationship for over 3 years. The pair have certainly not had an easy road together. A friend of the model had said that that Mr Soffer has turned his attentions to a Colombian girl, which explains Elle and Jeff’s split back in 2012.
‘Jeff’s new girlfriend is 25 years old,’ the friend said. ‘Elle had been on the cover of every magazine going before this new girl was even born. Elle is old enough to be her mum. But even though this just proves Jeff is shallow and not the right guy for Elle, she has taken it really hard.”
Well even though the friend was convinced the alleged affair was the end of Elle and Jeff, it seems as though the pair have managed to reconcile and find a way through their troubled times. Although Jeff is a billionaire, I think Elle is in this for love as she’s certainly not short of money herself and would certainly consider her children before marrying someone who’s not fully committed to her. Let’s not forget that Elle has two sons from a long-term relationship with Arpad Busson, which ended in 2005. Fortunately, both sons, aged 15 and 10 were in attendance of the wedding which can only be a good sign!
Elle has also previously been married to a fashion photographer, Gilles Bensimon for 3 years between 1986 and 1989. Considering this is her second marriage, let’s keep our fingers crossed that the pair will stay together as we often hear of divorces in the celebrity world faster than you can say Chanel!
The Wedding Dress is Still a Mystery!
No photographs have been revealed yet, but I’m wondering what gown she walked down the isle in. Perhaps it might be similar to the stunning gown she wore on the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards last year. The Zac Posen gown she wore had heads turning everywhere as the blonde bombshell’s figure looked as heavenly as ever, with the strapless cut and long, feathered trail. We’ll have to wait and see whether the chosen dress is anything like this one!
