Designer brand Maison Martin Margiela has finally been confirmed for H&M.

Rumours of a collaboration have been circling the fashion industry for a little while now so it’s great to hear it finally confirmed. A collection of clothing and accessories for men and women will be available in 230 stores worldwide from November 15.

Margareta van den Bosch, H&M Creative Director, said: “Maison Martin Margiela is one of the most important and influential fashion houses of the past three decades

“I am so excited by this radical collaboration which will give fashion lovers around the world the chance to wear special pieces, [it] will be a great and memorable fashion moment”.

While Margiela left his namesake company back in 2009, new creative director Renzo Rosso has taken the brand from strength to strength with the help of the design team.

Margiela are joining a long line of designers that have teamed up with the Swedish high-street chain, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Comme des Garçons, Stella McCartney and Marni.

Maison Martin Margiela, said: “We are very happy to present Maison Martin Margiela pieces with H&M, offering a new interpretation of our vision. The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further.

“We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.”
