While her husband Prince William was away on duty, Kate Middleton spent her Valentine’s day in Liverpool, visiting dry bar, The Brink Trade Co. as well as Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as part of her Royal duties. The Duchess wore a demure brown ‘Celeste’ coat from British designer Hobbs which she purchased for over £300 back in September 2011.

Before Valentines day, the chestnut brown coat from the Autumn/Winter ’11 collection, was part of the Hobbs sale, with it’s price having been slashed to a more affordable £182. However, when Kate was spotted wearing the coat during her visit, the coat vanished from the sale rail, having been snapped up by Kate fashion lovers.

Hobbs chairman Iain MacRitchie commented on the sell-out coat, saying: “We are delighted to see our designers getting recognition for their creative talent and the Hobbs brand credentials. With the UK’s strength and depth of contemporary British designer fashion, it is fantastic to see this important industry increasingly getting a worldwide profile.”

Kate wore the belted coat with the Hobbs Lara Roll-Neck Top in black which has been reduced to £42, and is surprisingly still in stock!
