David Beckham to launch Men’s bodywear collection for H&M
It has been announced today that Football legend David Beckham is set to launch his very own bodywear collection for men in collaboration with H&M.
With a wife who is one of the biggest fashion icons and designers of the 21st century, it was only a matter of time before David, who is a bit of a style icon himself, launched some sort of fashion related collection. We’re sure that Victoria has given David some helpful hints and advice on designing the collection which is set to launch in H&M stores on February 2nd 2012, just in time for Valentines day.
David has been working on the collection for over a year now and was keen to find a suitable retail partner who would sell his work. “The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward, I’m excited and looking forward to showcasing the range to H&M customers from February,” he said.
As mentioned, David has turned into a bit of a style icon in his own right and the sportsman is keen to develop his career away from being a football player. David’s business partner Simon Fuller commented on the new venture, saying: “This partnership with H&M is an important step in the evolution of David’s journey from sporting hero to entrepreneur and icon. H&M’s enthusiasm and support for this venture, combined with their scale and reach, will continue to enhance the power of David’s image around the world.”
