Topshop Spring/Summer 2011 preview
Nobody can deny that Topshop is the ruler of the high street fashion world, so everyone anticipated their new Spring/Summer 2011 collection with baited breath.
They are right up there with some of the big designers and their runway shows always cause a huge frenzy. With Spring/Summer 2011 lookbooks coming at us left, right and center, Topshop’s was the one we really wanted to see. Finally, we can preview their new collection, full of eye popping bright colours, prints and patterns.
Lace and Cut-out detailing
This trend is going to be huge for 2011, as we already established in our ‘Top Trends for 2011’ post. Cut-out detailing and laser cut suede are infused with many florals and colours to create a folksy feminine style.
Colour
Eye popping colour for accessories is a must have this season. Rainbow and Candy colours can brighten up any outfit. Try a simple belt, hair accessory, bag or purse for a subtle burst of colour, or go all out and team many brightly coloured accessories together for a real talking point.
Prints and Patterns
Topshop have included 1970s inspired fashion plastered with polka dots, paisley and floral patterns. Crazy prints and patterns dominate flared trousers, tops, dresses and accessories. Wear them all at once for a daring, bold look!
Earth Inspired
This casual collection includes earthy tones of golds, reds, stone and leathers, bringing elements of the Wild West to the British high street. Denim was huge in 2010, but 2011 is all about faded denim jackets and shorts, perfect for lazy summer days.
Midi Madness
Midi skirts are bringing a more feminine and lady-like style to our wardrobes this season. They are great for every day wear as well as for a more professional outfit and we love the bold colours. Team the stunning sorbet shades of the skirts with blouses and tops to brighten up not only yours, but every one around you’s day.
The Topshop Spring/Summer 2011 collection is everything that Summer should be about – bright colours and bold patterns will put a spring in your step and you can even mix and match many of these styles to create your own unique look.
This, of course, is just a preview of the collection and although many pieces are already available to purchase online, there are still many more amazing items to come both instore and online and personally we can’t wait!
