Paris Fashion Week 2013: Versace’s Top 5 Best Dressed Celebrities

Submitted by on Wednesday, 3 July 2013 | No Comment

Celebrities and high-profile names in the fashion industry gathered on the front row for the Atelier Versace show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

On the 1st of July, Atelier Versace debuted their Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collection. Within the collection, there were plunging catsuits, extreme cutouts and high slits revealing the upper thigh on the likes of Naomi Campbell. Unsurprisingly daring and rebellious from Versace, who revealed at The Vogue Festival 2013, that she snuck off wearing “PVC miniskirts” to discos, aged 12! Her strong-willed attitude and defiance definitely shines through in collections like these, especially with the sequined lace, crocodile leather and mesh displayed.

In attendance were the likes of Zachary Quinto, Derek Blasberg, Uma Thurman, Emma Roberts and Mena Suvari, but here are my top three, best-dressed celebrities of the night.

3. Uma Thurman

In a tight black, subtle Versace dress, Uma certainly exuded an air of sophistication, especially as she teamed her black dress with staple, black strappy heels from Saint Laurent. As her previous few looks have been Atelier Versace, it would be wrong not to have Uma gracing the front row. Teamed with a red lip and hair pulled back, I feel Uma manages to pull off this look well. The outfit is subtle, yet the cutout, lace-up sleeves add the Versace edge and give the outfit more oomph. Although Uma did well in picking the right outfit, there were a couple of other celebrities who managed to steal the spotlight… just a little bit!

2. Mena Suvari

Mena Suvari looked stunning in an eye-catching, bright yellow Versace dress, teamed with patent black Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. The outfit is perfect for kicking off July, as it’s summery and chic. I love the way Suvari has paired the yellow dress with black accessories. Her simple black clutch contrasts well with the textured dress. I also admire her toned down makeup and simple hairstyle- the outfit does the talking. Suvari was definitely the most attention-grabbing celebrity on the front row of Atelier Versace.

3. Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts has to take the number one spot for me in her pristine white cutout dress from Versace. The one sleeve and halter neck does wonders for the otherwise, less risky star. When I think of Emma Roberts, I don’t necessarily think of bodycon, cutout dresses but Roberts has proven that taking risks can be a wondrous thing in the world of fashion. The body-hugging fit of the dress is stunning on her slim figure and the simple, metallic silver clutch goes well with the white. Showing homage to Versace, the designer’s silver, chunky platform heels were Roberts’ choice to match her white dress. They were definitely a little risky but all together, the outfit looks beautiful on Emma. The heavy eye make up might have been better toned down but the bun and red lip compliment this look incredibly well.
