asos_tightsAs the evenings get darker and the winds get cold it’s time to ditch the bare legs and cover up in a girls best friend, tight! And this season you have more to chose from than just black, or even dare I say, barely black! This season you can wear floral, animal print and even tartan in pride!

They’re great to jazz up a plain outfit and make you feel that little bit different on a boring winter day. Patterns are brilliant to show your creative side, and you’ll instantly look like you’ve stepped out of Glamour or Cosmo.

If you’re thinking about mixing them with lots of different colours in you’ll be ok as long as you don’t go for a very busy print, but if you do want a wild print then be sure to keep your other colours muted. After all, the tights are meant to be the focal point of the outfit, you don’t want to overpower it.

tights1. First there’s the floral print tights from ASOS, coming in at £8 they’re sheer and wouldn’t look out of place on Fearne Cotton! Tam them with denim and knitwear for the casual and fun look.

2.Be bold with zebra print from Dorothy Perkins. Also £8 they really pack a punch and will brighten up any outfit. Great for a night out dressed in grey or black with chunky gold or bright jewelry.

3.If you want to try something new but don’t feel too brave then try these Bebaroque Elaborate Stud Tights from Urban Outfitters for £50. They’re fun and different without going full in. Think of these as your tester pair. If you like them, try something a little more daring…

4.Fancy something for the office? Then I think these gipsy rose print ones from ASOS are gorgeous. They’re £4.99 and great for the more subtle approach. They’ll go brilliantly with business wear whilst giving it a new sexy twist.

5.Back to school? These alphabet tights are excellent for students or literature lovers everywhere!  £10 from Debenhams they’re quirky and tie very much in with the geek chic look that is ever popular.

6.And lastly the tartan pair. For the bravest of girls! Team them with a light punk rock theme will make them look more natural on you, don’t go too heavy as there is something as too many safety pins! They’re £10 from Oli.
