H&M Announce ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Collection
Designer Trish Summerville is behind the latest dramatic collection to launch at High-Street favourite, H&M. Inspired by David Fincher’s version of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, the collection consists of leather jackets and trousers, torn jeans and hoodies all in shades of black, grey and blood red. The collection is based heavily on the film’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander, and will debut exclusively at the boutique Colette in Paris on November 28th. The collection will then be available from December 14th in Divided departments in around 180 H&M stores worldwide, as well as online.
It’s a great move for the High-Street store as the collection is set to be extremely popular and each piece has an edgy twist, making it a great alternative to the regular clothing in H&M stores. Talking about the collection, the designer herself, Trish Summerville said: “Salander’s look is very real and very lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time, like her jackets that act as her armour to shield her from the world. I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I’m pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style.”
