Kanye West to launch clothing collection for Spring 2012
Not too long ago there were rumours floating around that rap sensation Kanye West was set to enrol as a fashion student in Central Saint Martin’s fashion College. Unfortunately these rumours turned out to be false but it was fun while it lasted.
The rapper previously created a collection of stylish vintage scarves in collaboration with French graphic design and art direction team M/M, which were inspired by his latest album artwork, but now he is going all out on a full clothing collection.
After performing at this year’s Coachella festival in a Spring 2011 Celine ensemble, the fashion bug has really got to Kanye. He has reportedly been working on his new collection in Paris and even undertook research at the fashion shows held in February and March of this year.
It seems that fashion designing qualifications aren’t needed in Kanye’s case as the collection will no doubt be a hit after it launches in the Spring of 2012. The first showing of Kanye’s new range is thought to be shown in a presentation-style format this coming September, ready for it’s launch in the Spring. If Kanye’s personal style is anything to go by, we can expect a real eye-popping mix of styles and fabrics.
