Cabot Circus Fashion Weekender – Day 2

After the excitement of Day 1 at Cabot Circus’ Fashion Weekender, things were rounded off in style in Quakers Friars, with sophisticated fashion from the likes of Ted Baker, French Connection, Fred Perry and Reiss.

The Quakers Friars section of Bristol’s shopping heaven is a much more luxurious affair for those who want to go shopping without a budget. If you want to treat yourself then this is definitely the place to do it.

Ted Baker kicked off the show with their ‘Decadent’ collection, with shoes provided by Aldo and accessories by Links of London. They really pulled out all the stops to portray an elegant yet wearable collection, complete with evening and day wear. The women worked sophisticated party dresses in block colours and florals with huge embellishment, while the men worked a smart, tailored look complete with ultra fashionable macs.

Hobbs went all out in the winter style stakes with luxurious camel winter coats. Camel is a huge trend this season so it was great to see it being transferred to the people of Bristol.

French Connection pulled out all the stops for their Parisian Chic collection, which included soft greys, blacks and whites worked into gorgeous chunky knits and bat-wing jumpers. The hugely popular cape made an appearance in the show , showing that anyone can wear them.

Fred Perry put on a particularly preppy show with their established brand. Their classic men’s and women’s T-shirts made an appearance alongside some more tailored pieces such as trousers, jackets and cardigans.

LK Bennet wowed the audience with their glamorous work wear. Including pencil skirts, blouses and high waisted trousers, all of the pieces were easily workable from a work outfit into a fabulous night time outfit with the addition of a clutch bag and accessories.

Last but not least, Reiss brought the show to a close with their exclusive collection, including an injection of the popular leather trend. Leather trousers, shorts and jackets were teamed with glitzy and glamorous casual wear.

Although Day 2 of the Fashion Weekender was a much calmer event, the collections still wowed the audiences that gathered. The event was a compliment to Bristol and Cabot Circus who have brought a wealth of fashion to the people of Bristol. We hope there will be plenty more fashion events to come!
