Super popular blogger, Emily Johnston, from Fashion Foie Gras has teamed up with US accessories lable, Coach, to design a one-off blogger friendly handbag.

Emily has designed a practical and functional handbag which includes a padded pocket to hold a blogger’s trusty digital SLR camera and a compartment to store flat shoes for when heels get too much. The leather tote bears the colours of the US and British flags as well as intricate leather and tassle detailing.

It’s an extremely exciting time for bloggers in the fashion industry. Jason Weisenfeld, senior vice president of global brand communications and collaborations at Coach spoke of the collaboration recently, saying: “Emily’s eye for making a great bag is as impressive as her super-chic fashion blog. We asked Emily to design something practical for the working blogger and in the process she created a bag that has the modern functionality every blogger needs.”

Of course, Emily is just as thrilled about the collaboration and when she revealed the exciting news on her blog, she wrote: “I have to be completely honest here. I’m not really even sure how to write this piece for you all. Even as I look at the picture of me with the Fashion Foie Gras Tote for Coach I still can’t believe it’s actually real. I kid you not, this feels like at any moment someone is going to say, “Just kidding… we weren’t really making a tote with you.” Although if you’ve ever met the Coach team you’d know this would be the last words out of their mouths as they are the most passionate and caring group of people and the work they do with Coach is on another level…”

…“As we were putting the bag together it became clear that although we were creating a bag with bloggers in mind, in reality we were creating the perfect bag for the modern woman. This is a bag for any woman who has to carry around everything and anything. It can be used as an everyday tote or as a bag for travel.”

This is, of course, not the first time that a blogger has teamed up with a big brand name and it’s slowly becoming a more common thing. Most of the fashion industry have got savvy to the fact that fashion blogs are the first port of call for product reviews and news and the blogger’s opinions really do count. Coach is just one brand that has realised this and is happy to collaborate with a growing blogging industry.

The Fashion Foie Gras for Coach tote bag is available from London stores now, while international orders will be taken from November 30th at Coach.com.

This year she returned to the show and blew all of the other models out of the water thanks to a $2.5m diamond studded bra. She showed off three different ‘Angel’ looks through-out the show, including a purple eccentric ensemble and a Christmas inspired red and white lace set, but it was her finale outfit that really caused a stir as she paraded down the catwalk in the $2.5million Fantasy Treasure bra, covered in yellow diamonds and pearls and complete with peacock style ‘feather’ decorations.

The baby blue ‘outfit’ received a standing ovation from the crowd, which included Kerr’s husband Orlando Bloom.

Kerr was also joined on the runway by Adriana Lima, who admitted to living on a liquid diet prior to the show. The Brazilian supermodel was a tough rival for Kerr on the night as she stunned spectators in a ‘Wonder-Woman’ inspired look complete with cape, followed by a flamenco inspired look and for her grand finale she showcased a sheer bodysuit, complete with oversized wings.

Both of these lovely ladies were the talking points of the show, with Kerr rounding it off with a spectacular diamond encrusted finale. The Victoria’s Secret show is a huge talking point every year and this year will certainly be remembered as one of the best.

US Vogue launched a similar site earlier this year, but only Vogue staff are able to contribute. Italian Vogue’s new encyclopaedia allows absolutely anybody to contribute to the new database which covers all areas of fashion, however all submissions will be looked over by Vogue staff before publication. Editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani wrote on her personal blog: “We will try not to alter your pieces, but some will have to be modified and you have to accept that and not feel judged, just guided by someone who has more experience. You can always use [your articles] on a future résumé to become journalists, if that is what you aspire to.”

So not only are fashion lovers able to get their daily fix, but aspiring Journalists can also use the site to help build up their CV/Resume. It looks like this could be the start of a new Online fashion trend as we’re expecting many other magazines and competitors to follow suit and launch their own fashion databases, but don’t forget that Italian Vogue were there first!

Starbucks will now be providing us with a bit of a fashion fix alongside our morning coffee, with their new range of limited edition T-shirts.

To celebrate 40 years of Starbucks coffee and culture, the brand is launching an iconic and very limited edition collection of T-shirts with the help of Alexander Wang, Sophie Theallet and Billy Reid, all past recipients of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards.

Each designer has created a unique look for the T-shirts, with Alexander Wang’s creation including a coffee spill illusion of the iconic Starbucks Siren; Billy Reid’s featuring a vintage and heritage look with Starbucks Siren logo on the left shoulder extending to the back and the Starbucks star pattern and Theallet’s design featuring a fitted shape, with grosgrain ribbon and unique continents graphic and foiled Starbucks Siren logo.

Rocha graduated with a BA in fashion from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin back in 2008 and received special press recognition for her MA graduate show from Central St Martins two years later. The new designer has come on leaps and bounds since and has even debuted her collection at London Fashion Week and if that wasn’t enough of a dream come true, she was quickly snapped up by Topshop.

Talking about the collaboration with the famous high street store, Rocha said: “I am excited to be collaborating with Topshop again. The opportunity to create something accessible for all girls with my signature is one I cannot pass up.”

The capsule collection is made up of six modern, yet romantic pieces consisting of masculine tailoring with a feminine twist. The youthful pieces are made from unexpected fabrics and flash colour in the form of pink and black mesh sleeves and black felt wool with the limited edition double breasted coat containing cable knit contrasting sleeves.

The capsule collection will be in store from 15th September.

Tavi’s own ‘granny chic’ style of dressing has earned her a place alongside some of the worlds biggest fashion icons. She has even collaborated with Rodarte to produce a fashion range for US store Target and has taken on an interviewer role for prestigious publication, The New Yorker, to the envy of Journalists around the world. After interviewing Gwen Stefani for US Harpers Bazaar, Tavi met the former Editor, Jane Pratt, with whom she shared her ideas for an online teenage magazine.

Commenting on her new venture in her Editor’s letter, Tavi said: “I started thinking about the possibility of Rookie a year or so ago, it seemed like a good venue for pure aesthetic enjoyment and smart, fun writing. As my freshman year of high school progressed, I found myself needing something that could be more than that.”

Rookie magazine doesn’t claim to be a ‘guide to being a teen’ or a ‘pamphlet on how to be a young woman,’ but is simply an online environment where teens can enjoy art and writing. The team post roughly three times a day; when school ends, when dinner starts and when it’s really late and you should be writing a paper but are Facebook stalking instead and there will be a new theme for the site every month. Of coursse, the theme for September is ‘new beginnings’.

Now the young actress has appeared in a slightly more feminine look in the form of a summery White Alessandra Rich Fall 2011 shantung shirt dress. The shirt dress comes with a full ‘skirt’ and lace top. Evan left the shirt open slightly so she could show some leg and also show off her black Giuseppe Zanotti heels. She wore the shirt dress with some simple silver drop earrings, dark eye make-up and bright lipstick. She also wore her hair in a slicked back quiff style that looks great on her and her face shape.

Evan was at this year’s Venice Film Festival 2011 for ‘The Ides of March’ film premiere in which Evan plays character, Molly Stearns. Based on the play by Beau Willimon, ‘The Ides of March’ sees a staff worker get a crash course in the dirty side of politics during a campaign trail for the new presidential candidate. The film, which premiered on opening night at the festival, is the directorial debut from George Clooney who has also given himself one of the leading roles.

Talking of the new campaign, M&S Executive Director Steve Sharp said: “Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph – beautiful, exclusive and absolutely contemporary. On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerising performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery.”

For such a prestigious High Street brand, it is an excellent move by Marks & Spencer who have chosen two extremely glamorous personalities that work perfectly together in the advertising images. Joining the couple will also be popular new super model David Gandy who poses casually in the background of some images.
