New York jewellery designer, Alexis Bittar cast the shows main characters in his Autumn/Winter 2012 latest advertising campaign. In their usual garish outfits, the British pair posed for photographer John Swannell in a series of images, showcasing the brands latest collection.

Talking about his choice of model, the designer told Vogue “I am a massive fan! From the first episode I inherited the word ‘sweetie’ for five years. “It got to the point where it was nauseating and I was forced to stop. I have a tremendous respect for their talent. I was beyond excited to meet and get to work with them. On set, it was one of those rare instances in my life where I was totally star struck.”

After the cameras turned off, Joanna Lumley, who plays the famous Patsy said: “Such a fabulous shoot in the glorious jewellery from Alexis; it was sensational and I am thrilled with the pieces I have from his generous talented hands. Patsy was transfixed by the quality and wants lots more forever. I hope the campaign rocks: I am a fan for life.”

It’s great to see a designer having fun with their advertising campaigns and what a pair to choose!

This was a splendid return for the model as she previously featured in the brand’s advertising campaign in 2010, and the 23 year old model shows off her curvacious figure in nothing but accessories from designer Lara Bohinc’s latest 70′s inspired collection, with images shot by Jon Compson.

The photoshoot for the campaign took place in the parlour of London’s Sketch restaurant and aims to tell the story of a glamorous woman who has returned from a night out, having had the time to remove her clothes but not being able to remove the exquisite accessories from the latest Lara Bohinc range.

Talking about the campaign images, which see Daisy sporting a full head of gorgeous curls, creative director Lara Bohinc says: “Inspired by old Biba campaigns featuring cushions and fabrics scattered everywhere and girls plunged deep into their sofas, looking other wordly.”

Recently, a red crocodile diamond encrusted Hermès bag, officially titled the ‘Hermès Exceptional Collection Shiny Rouge H Porosus Crocodile 30cm Birkin Bag with Solid 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware,’ went up for auction at Heritage Auctions house in Dallax, Texas.

The bag was sold to an anonymous collector for an absolutely staggering £129,865 ($203,150). Matt Rubinger, director of luxury accessories at Heritage Auctions, said of the record breaking sale: “This is an extraordinary example of one of the world’s most exceptional handbags, and this was certainly an exceptional price, exceeding our highest expectations at every corner.”

Three other Hermès Birkin bags went on sale alongside the diamond encrusted one, and they also went on to break auction records. The ‘Matte Brighton Blue Porosus Crocodile Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware’ sold for £72,568 ($113,525), while the ‘Shiny Braise Red Porosus Crocodile Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware’ Birkin bag sold for £61,111 ($95,600) and the ‘Ultra Rare Himalayan Crocodile Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware’ racked up a total sale price of £39,064 ($80,663).

We wonder who the anonymous bidder was and with Christmas coming up, could somebody be getting an extra special present this year?

Barney’s is one of the worlds most iconic department stores and they’re kicking off their exciting countdown to Christmas by allowing eccentric singer, Lady Gaga, to completely take over the fifth floor of their Madison Avenue flagship store. The entire floor has been transformed into a Lady Gaga wonderland, complete with gifts chosen by the lady herself, with a little help from the creative team.

Gaga, Nicola Formichetti and installation artists Eli Sudbrack have been working on the wonderland for a year, meaning they’ve had plenty of time to put together some completely weird and wonderful gift ideas, including Gaga-esque bow headbands, embellished chocolate skulls, Gaga snow globes and even a Christmas stocking in the shape of a claw.

Also on the floor is a jewellery boutique created from an oversized Lady Gaga-turned-spider and a boudoir in the shape of a wig. 25% of sales from the alternative Christmas gifts will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation. Those who can’t make it to the department store can get a little taste of a Gaga Christmas online as the Barney’s website is now offering a Gaga Gift every day in the days leading up to the launch on November 21st.

So this year, look fabulous rather than frightful. We’ll give you some Halloween inspiration to look party ready, with only a hint of morgue chic about you!

The Outfit
Black is the colour of choice for obvious reasons. It’s easy to dress, will make you look amazing, and of course, is extremely fitting for the occasion. Taking textures like lace, leather and velvet all create a sensational nod towards the gothic era, as well as keeping you on trend for this season. Adding more dimension by mixing in deep  like midnight blue or rich purples will create a palette to work with in terms of makeup and shoes.

Start with cutting a striking silhouette for your Halloween night out. A floaty black chiffon maxi-skirt, for example, would look incredible with a fitted lace top or body tucked in… as well as looking extremely sexy without showing too much off. In the same way, a playful dress with a full skirt is fashionable, and would work in one of the above fabrics. Team with some chunky heels, and you’re good to go!

Another option is to draw inspiration from the film Black Swan. Ostrich feather mini skirts are luxurious and a wonderfully feminine piece which are remarkably versatile – toughen it up with a leather-look tee or opt for a sheer blouse for a more toned-down look.

Fierce heels are the route you should go on this one. Chunky heels and sky high shoe-boots with metal detailing will always be on trend and will compliment the rest of your outfit.

And remember – have fun with it! Play with textures for your ultimate Halloween look.

The Makeup
Your outfit is sorted and so on to the makeup… and I promise there won’t be any chalky foundation in sight. The aim is for a heavier look to what you’d normally opt for, but still looking classic and sexy. No Uncle Fester here, thank you very much.

For me personally, I love a smokey-eyed look and so Halloween is the ultimate time to really go all out with the eyeliner. If it’s the eyes you want to focus on, I think heavy eye-makeup in greys and black are the most striking. Teamed with some individual eyelashes at the outer corner of your eyes add a bit of va-va-voom without looking over the top. A bit of natural blush and a nude lip complete the look.

Fancy drawing attention to your lips? Dark berry stains and lipsticks look incredible against an otherwise natural face, and again, follow with the theme of Halloween. A hint of mascara with rich, colourful lips is easy to do and doesn’t take too much effort to touch-up if need be!

The Hair
Likewise with makeup, you could go two ways here. Backcombed into infinity is one option – messy updo’s always look cute and not too try-hard. It will also keep the hair of your face for your makeup to be admired!

The other direction is super-sleek and glossy. Straightened hair a la Wednesday Adams has a mysterious edge, keeping your parting ruler straight and not a split end in sight. A slicked back ponytail also look amazing – you can buy leather hair ties for a look straight from the catwalk.

And if you’re really dedicated? The dip-dye trend is going to be around for a while longer and is a quirky way to modernise your look! Look around for some colours that will work, and you’ll be happy with after Halloween’s done!

Jewellery
…And finally, jewellery. Vintage pieces (or at least, fake vintage) would work brilliantly for the occasion. Necklaces with intricate detailing are easy to get hold of on the high-street, and look far more expensive than they actually are. More is definitely more in this instance – drape yourselves in strings of pearls and rings. Or try some gothic glamour – rhinestone covered skulls, crucifixes and celtic designs at the ready…!

The supermodel was recently spotted walking for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 presentation at Paris Fashion Week, and just a few days after, she was spotted again, this time celebrating a brand new venture in the brand that is Kate Moss.

On Tuesday night Kate was spotted at the super swanky Ritz, in Paris, where she put on quite the bash to celebrate the launch of her Kate Moss for Fred jewellery range. Moss entered the party as the clock struck midnight and was accompanied by shoe designer and good friend, Christian Louboutin. The Ritz was transformed into a Medieval castle, complete with stuffed animals, candles and skeletons.

Wearing a shimmering Gold tunic and black leggings, with Louboutin Pigalle heels, Moss was joined by a flurry of big names, including Joséphine de La Baume, Ludivine Sagnier and Lou Doillon.

Kate’s jewellery collection features necklaces, rings and earrings in moon, star and anchor motifs, based on her own tattoos. The collection will be sold through Harrods in the UK with prices starting from £400 and reaching a staggering £40,000.

Pictures posted on the Daily Mail, show Elizabeth Hurley ‘corker’ of a rock made from sapphire diamond which has a striking resemblance to the royal wedding ring worn by Kate Middleton.  Many have critisised Liz for copying Kate’s engagement ring which was once Princess Diana’s, however I think this shows that the Kate Middleton fever is still in full swing and even high profile celebrities like Liz Hurley want to copy her look.

However intentional it was, the ring given to Liz Hurley by her fiancé is definitely a rock and half and looks great on her slim and elegant fingers.

Shane Warne popped the question to Elizabeth Hurley on Friday night in St. Andrews, Scotland at the Old Course Hotel. An onlooker said “Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair. He didn’t get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests in the restaurant stood up and applauded. Everyone there was absolutely delighted.”

Now that the engagement has been officially announced I am pretty sure Liz will be busy looking for a potential designer to design her wedding dress. Will it be her long time friend Donatella Versace who designed her last dress or will she follow on from the Kate Middleton fever and keep things British by getting her dress designed by Alexander McQueen? The beautiful blonde actress dressed her slender frame in a white Chanel Resort 2012 dress with v-neck, open back and feminine pearl embellishment. She wore her hair in a scruffy up-do and teamed the dress with peep-toe Louboutin heels and JewelMint earrings, rounded off with a pink lipstick shade.

This was quite a demure look for Kate Bosworth who is known for her boho chic look and more recently, her turquoise ombre hair style.

Kate appeared at the photo call for her new movie ‘Another Happy Day’, in which she plays character ‘Alice’ alongside the likes of Demi Moore and Ellen Barkin. Although not a leading role, Kate is prominent through out the movie, appearing alongside Lynn (Ellen Barkin) who is forced to confront a long suppressed family drama, deal with a face off with her ex husband and prepare for the imminent arrival of her self-mutilating daughter, Alice (Kate Bosworth).

However, ‘Another Happy Day’ isn’t the only movie that Kate has been busy working on. She has a whole host of projects under her belt including future movie releases that are currently in post production. These include Fairytale of New York, Serpent Girl and Movie 43 which are all set for release in 2012.

Now the young actress has appeared in a slightly more feminine look in the form of a summery White Alessandra Rich Fall 2011 shantung shirt dress. The shirt dress comes with a full ‘skirt’ and lace top. Evan left the shirt open slightly so she could show some leg and also show off her black Giuseppe Zanotti heels. She wore the shirt dress with some simple silver drop earrings, dark eye make-up and bright lipstick. She also wore her hair in a slicked back quiff style that looks great on her and her face shape.

Evan was at this year’s Venice Film Festival 2011 for ‘The Ides of March’ film premiere in which Evan plays character, Molly Stearns. Based on the play by Beau Willimon, ‘The Ides of March’ sees a staff worker get a crash course in the dirty side of politics during a campaign trail for the new presidential candidate. The film, which premiered on opening night at the festival, is the directorial debut from George Clooney who has also given himself one of the leading roles.
