As business is booming, the purse-friendly highstreet chain have announced a brand new project! Launching in 2013, the Swedish fashion giant will be launching a new luxury stores, which will be completely independent from the normal stores.

H&M Chief Executive Officer, Karl-Johan Persson, said: “We have many different projects in progress and already next year we will be launching a completely new store chain. Like COS, which today is very successful with good profitability, the new chain of stores will be independent and complement the other offerings from the group. We have great faith in this new brand and we see considerable potential for further initiatives.”

This could be a greatly successful step for H&M, bringing their clientèle and products up to a higher standard. The project will start taking shape from 2013 and there are rumours circulating that a new H&M designer will be appointed in the form of Behnaz Aram.

The singer spent a staggering five hours in the store, which is easily done, especially in the Oxford Circus store, but when it’s Rihanna that’s getting her shop on, it makes headline news, as well as exceptionally good press for British high-street giant Topshop.

Rihanna, who recently performed at the Brit awards, spent her time in the personal shopping department of the store, stocking up on wardrobe essentials, including shoes and plenty of denim, and despite rumours of the shopping spree being a birthday gift from her close friend, and Topshop heiress Chloe Green, it has been confirmed that Rihanna paid for all of her goodies with her own cash and VIP Topshop card.

Rihanna’s shopping spree lasted until 12:30am, when she finally left the store to visit Novikov restaurant on Berkeley Square.

As reported by British newspaper, The Daily Mirror, Kanye was seen having dinner with Topshop giant, Sir Philip Green, at Harrods department store in London. It is rumoured that the rapper turned fashion designer has been eager to meet with the Topshop boss for a long time now and they’re recent meeting saw them exchange ideas for womenswear lines.

So could a Kanye for Topshop line be on the way? A spokesperson for the highstreet chain declined to comment on the rumours, but Sir Philip Green himself had some harsh words to add, saying; “I had lunch with him and, sorry, do I have to report who I have lunch with? He was hungry. So was I. That’s what happens at lunchtime. There was no conversation going on. He’s a friend of my son.”

The label, who’s plastic footwear has become iconic in the fashion world, kicked off New York Fashion Week with a grand opening of their new Galeria Melissa flagship store in Manhattan, New York. This is the first store opening for the company outside of their native Brazil.

The new store, which is located on Greene Streen in Manhattan’s popular SoHo area, incorporates retail with a great exhibition space for the company to showcase their collaborations with Thierry Mugler, Gareth Pugh and of course, Vivienne Westwood. The company is keen for the store to continue celebrating the ethos of combining art and design within fashion.

A whole host of big names turned out for the store’s opening night, including designers Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu and Hollywood names such as Vanessa Hudgens, Whitney Port and even Dita Von Teese managed to brave the snow to attend.

Beckham mania swept through London as the news spread that the man himself would be appearing at the Regent Street store in London. Of course, the news was only released shortly before 4pm via the H&M Twitter account, but hundreds were able to flock to the store at short notice.

The flagship H&M store featured large window displays of Beckham and several silver mannequins wearing nothing other than a pair of boxer shorts. David Beckham himself wrapped up for the cold weather in a chunky cream cardigan, stonewashed jeans and boots. Talking about the new range, which features vests, briefs, T-shirts and pyjamas for men, the football player turned fashion designer said: “I always want to challenge myself and this was such a rewarding experience for me. I’m very happy with the end result and I hope H&M’s male customers will be as excited as I am.”

Originally the famous dress was made from a simple towel by Geri’s sister, Karen, and after it was spotted on Ginger Spice, the Union Jack was instantly back in fashion and the original sold for a staggering £41,320 at auction.

With Geri Halliwell having her own range at Next, it was the obvious choice of partner for the collaboration and the perfect year to do it, with 2012 being the year for London thanks to the Olympics. The new all-over sequin creation is a tad longer in length and features a sophisticated cowl neckline.

In a statement, the singer turned model/fashion designer said: “The Union Jack dress was my favourite stage outfit and with everything that is happening this year such as the Olympics and the Jubilee it just felt the right time to design an updated version of the dress for my range with Next.”

The redesigned dress will go on sale from March at Next.co.uk for £199.

H&M have really gone to town on the designer collaborations recently, even teaming up with one of the biggest labels in the world, Versace, for two extremely popular collections.

With the Marni for H&M collection launching on March 8th 2012, it has now been revealed that Jane Eyre actress Imogen Poots stars as the face of the advertising campaign, set to launch on February 18th. The shoot took place in the gorgeous Marrakech and the latest leaked image from the campaign, shot by Sofia Coppola, shows Poots in metallic print trousers and matching Peter Pan collar top, taken from the new collection.

Poots is the perfect choice for the campaign images and this isn’t her first time in front of the camera as she has previously modelled for Chloe as the face of their fragrance. The leaked campaign image is a lovely little taster of the collection to come, which can be expected to include lots of strong prints and colours that are intended to be worn together in a clashing way.

Launching on March 8th, the collection will be available in 260 stores worldwide and online.

The Glee actress has taken over from previous teen star Vanessa Hudgens and poses in the brand’s new Spring 2012 campaign. Talking to PEOPLE about the new collaboration with Candies, the actress couldn’t contain her excitement, saying; “It’s amazing, such an honor. Candie’s is such an iconic brand. The apparel is so adorable as well as affordable — and who doesn’t love that?”

The new campaign is titled ‘Hangin At Home’ and sees Lea Michele doing just that in a variety of relaxed, comfortable and colourful images. The photoshoot took place in a private residence in Beverly Hills and was shot by photographer Yu Tsai.

Talking of their choice of actress for the campaign, Iconix chief marketing officer Dari Marder said: “Everyone is obsessed with Glee, especially Lea Michele, and so are we. Although for Michele, the fun of the campaign is putting her Glee-ful side away.”

The campaign will officially launch in March 2012, with images appearing in top magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Seventeen and Teen Vogue.

The sister team were at the helm of the label for six years and were the main designers of the label’s collections. They originally launched the company in conjunction with Pepe Jeans and Spanish entrepreneur Carlos Ortega, but the reason behind the sister’s leaving has not been fully revealed, leading many to speculate that it is to do with Sienna’s pregnancy and her wanting to concentrate on being a mother.

WWD.com revealed the news first, quoting the sister’s as saying; “We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures,” the Miller sisters said in a statement. “We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.”

Despite Sienna and Savannah leaving the label, it will continue as ‘Twenty8Twelve London’ instead of the original ‘Twenty8Twelve by s. miller’ name. They will also be showing their new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection at the forthcoming London Fashion Week by designers Vanessa James and Elsa Elphick who were a part of the original design team alongside the sisters.

With new collections and ventures comes a much needed advertising campaign and Cindy Crawford’s 10 year old daughter, Kaia Gerber, is the first face to represent the Young Versace brand. Kaia was cast to model the Spring/Summer 2012 collection and poses in items emblazoned with the brand’s Medusa head and Greek key motif.

Although her first modelling assignment, Kaia is quite obviously a natural and her famous mother was on set to lend a helping hand. “Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps,” said Donatella Versace of her latest muse.
