A nude/pale colour scheme was very popular on the carpet this year, with the likes of Jessica Chastian, Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum working the trend to it’s full advantage. Angelina Jolie was definitely a stand out celeb at the event and her dress did great things for her on the night. She wore a white, one-shouldered Atelier Versace gown with red folded neckline detail and gathered detailing on the hip. It was definitely a fashion hit on the night, which she teamed with a red Christian Louboutin ‘Pharaon’ clutch and Versace heels. A thigh high split showed off her gorgeously long legs and she pinned her hair back in a simple bun.

Nicole Richie was another female celeb that looked amazing on the red carpet. She wore a Julien MacDonald Spring 2012 gown in a textured silver colour that just shimmered and dazzled wherever she went. She wore her hair in a 60s inspired ponytail, a stepped out in Jimmy Choo sandals and a silver clutch bag.

There was also quite a lot of colour on the red carpet. Blues, purples and pinks were high on the list and Freida Pinto was just one actress who dared to go colourful for the event in a custom Prada dress, accessorised with a Chopard yellow diamond bib necklace. Actress Emma Stone wore a gorgeous purple/fuschia, custom made Lanvin gown. The dress featured bright raspberry panelled inserts and embellished shoulders as well as a leather waist belt and ‘Opanca’ heels.

Last year’s ‘Best Actress’ winner, Natalie Portman, wore a custom made fuschia gown by Lanvin which came with red trim and gathered detailing at the hip, while actress Mila Kunis kept it cool in Black with a one-shouldered Dior gown, which is no surprise as she has just been named the face of their new campaign!

It was ‘New Girl’ actress Zooey Deschanel that really stood out for us in her gorgeous black and Emerald green Prada dress. The satin dress featured a green pearl decorated bodice with an ivory pearl collar that looked absolutely stunning against Zooey’s vampy make-up look and bouffant hair. We thought she looked amazing! She might not be the usual choice for the demure fashion house, Chanel, but she’s perfect for their new handbag collection. In a statement, a Chanel spokesperson said: “This previously unforeseen alliance finally became self-evident. Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection, which strives [to be] far from conformist notions of femininity.”

She might be an unconvential muse for the designer, but her ‘punk’ style and fiery attitude have secured her the modelling gig and a behind-the-scenes image of Dellal has already leaked. The image sees the model sitting atop an ornate desk, holding a grey quilted handbag from the new Boy collection. In the photo she wears a white Chanel ensemble, complete with frills and bows, but she maintains her individual style with dark lips and eye make-up.

The advertising campaign will be launched in March 2012.

The 2011 British Fashion Awards took place earlier this week and Alexa received the honour for the second year in a row. The model and TV presenter has always been top of the fashion icons, she’s previously modelled for Pepe Jeans and Madewell and was more recently named as the new face of Vero Moda, sporting Peter Pan Collars, Bowler Hats and Knee High Socks in the Autumn/Winter Lookbook. She was also recently announced as the star of new US fashion show ’24 Hour Catwalk’.

Alexa was present at the award ceremony and wore a 60′s inspired Christopher Kane embellished shift dress. She also showed off a messy long bob hair style and carried a glittering clutch bag. She was presented with her award by Karl Lagerfeld’s collaboration partner Lady Amanda Harlech.

Of course, we were most interested in what every one was wearing, Kristen in particular, who both impressed and shocked fashion fans when she appeared at the premiere in a pair of trainers with her glamorous dress, before changing into a pair of heels.

Kristen certainly impressed with her dresses on the nights of the premieres. At the LA Premiere she wowed onlookers in a gorgeous iris and black sequin column dress from the Spring 2012 collection by J.Mendel, who is rumoured to be one of her favourite designers. The dress included a thigh-high split which was quite daring for Stewart who is most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. She wore her hair in a sophisticated up-do and accessorized with black chunky heels.

For the UK Premiere, Stewart kept colour to a minimum in a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 gown. The black embellished gown allowed Stewart to show off a little skin with it’s dipped neckline and she cleverly accessorized with a leather Alexander McQueen belt. She wore her hair in a sweeping style over one shoulder and wore Jimmy Choo peep toe heels.

Although all eyes were on Kristen Stewart, the rest of the Twilight girls were out in fashionable force. Nikki Reed certainly brightened things up at the LA premiere when she appeared in a mint, one-shouldered Marchesa Resort 2012 chiffon dress, with gold embroidered detailing. She wore her hair in soft curls and accessorized with a pair of Sutra drop earrings and Jimmy Choo Greta lamé-covered suede sandals.

Actress Ashley Greene also brought some colour to the US Premiere in a beautiful red lace Donna Karen dress. As the face of DK, it was obviously her first choice of dress for the occasion and her wavy locks complimented the colour perfectly. The dress included gorgeous spiralling chiffon strips which gave it a real feminine feel.

The main three characters, Kristen, Robert and Taylor were the only stars in attendance at the UK premiere while the rest of the cast members showed up at a New York screening of the film. Of course, we can’t leave out Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner who both wore grey Emporio Armani suits. Lautner opted for the black tie on white shirt combo while Pattinson decided on a dark grey shirt.

Gwen Stefani is usually pictured with her two children, Kingston and Zuma, looking particularly mumsy in casual clothing, but on a rare occasion, the No Doubt singer was recently spotted in attendance at a chef Giorgio Locatelli’s exclusive book launch, held at Locanda Locatelli in London.

For a mother of two, Stefani looked particularly glam in a simple, yet sophisticated look consisting of black cut-out tunic style top and tight trousers, which she teamed with a snazzy striped jacket and black sandals. The glamour was all in the hair though, as she wore it in a big and bouncy windswept style, accompanied by shimmering rockstar eye-makeup and pink lipstick. We think Gwen has cleverly balanced the glamorous side of her look with a rock-chick edge in the form of her jacket, hairstyle and make-up and she clearly looks stunning.

The No Doubt front-woman recently celebrated her 42nd birthday and she certainly has a lot to show for her years. Not only is she one of the worlds most stylish ladies, she also rocks out frequently in a band and has also tried her hand at fashion designing with her label, L.A.M.B. It was recently revealed on the official No Doubt website, that Gwen and the rest of the band are currently working on a brand new album. In the blog post written by the band, they say: “The past twelve months have been eventful; we performed for Paul McCartney and President Obama at the Kennedy Center Honors, three beautiful new No Doubt babies were born, and we’ve recorded in studios all over Los Angeles.”

And as if that wasn’t enough, Stefani is also set to release a children’s clothing line in collaboration with US store, Target. The new children’s range will be titled Harajuku Mini and will be available in Target stores across the US and Online, from November 13th 2011 with a second installment in January 2012. Prices will range from $3.99 to $29.99.

After jetting over to Vegas for a quick visit to support on again off again boyfriend Justin Timberlake, in his ‘Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open’ Golf Tournament, actress Jessica Biel must have been feeling the effects of jet lag, but she certainly didn’t let it show when she was papped in Paris recently for Paris Fashion Week.

Jessica Biel isn’t usually one celebrity that’s spotted at these types of events, but she took time out of a busy schedule to soak up some fashion. The lucky lady was spotted heading to the Valentino Spring/Summer 2012 presentation show at the Jardin des Tuileries, decked out in a lovely neutral palette. She wore a figure hugging beige dress which was cinched in at the hip, as well as a pale lavendar coat and turquoise ankle boots. She carried a studded pale blue clutch bag and finished off the look with a pair of tortoise-shell rim glasses.

We think the 29 year old actress looked amazing and her dark hair colour contrasts perfectly against the neutral shades. Jessica was spotted on the front row of the Valentino show alongside other celebs such as R&B singer Ciara and British style icon Alexa Chung. The actress also made it to the Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2012 show in which she wore another neutral ensemble, complete with white jacket.

‘Melancholia’ is one of this year’s most anticipated movies, it hasn’t even been released in cinema’s yet and already Dunst has won the ‘Best Actress’ gong at this year’s Cannes film festival for her part as ‘Justine’, in the movie. Set to be one of the most beautiful movies about the end of the world in a long time, it tells the story of a newly-wed couple celebrating their happy day, while a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth.
