Speaking about his latest muse, Balenciaga Creative Director, Nicholas Ghesquière said: “Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in ‘Panic Room’ to her independent choice of ‘Welcome to the Rileys’, I’ve always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

It has been said that Kristen’s “elegant modernity and innate rebel style” is the perfect match for Balenciaga, and expressing her excitement about the new collaboration, Steward herself told WWD: “Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”

YSL was the first company that Blunt had said ‘yes’ to, but now it seems that she’s somewhat regretting her decision.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Blunt admitted that she believed YSL had made a mistake in hiring her, saying “God, I’m so un-French in that trailer,” and when asked why she thought she was approached by the company, she put herself down further by saying; “I don’t know. I’ve no idea. Perhaps ‘there was no one else? They made a mistake, a terrible mistake.”

When asked about why she accepted the role in advertising the new fragrance, she went on to say; “I think that I’ve been wanting to make sure that when I did it, it would be the right thing. I’d been asked to do a couple of things but none were as classy as this,’ she explains before adding, ‘And I got to work with a leopard. ”

We’re not sure whether Blunt is being serious when she suggests YSL has made a mistake in casting her, could she be acting a little too cool and not bothered by the prestigious role? We certainly think that YSL made the right choice casting her, but she could be the cause of her own downfall with these comments.

After her long standing relationship with the brand stretching over 10 years, she has been the true face of Rimmel so to celebrate this Kate and Rimmel have worked together to design a lipstick range which fuses Kate Moss’s urban London girl look with Rimmel’s true Britishness.

Last month, to celebrate Rimmel and Kate’s 10 year working relationship together, Rimmel organised an event to show off the new beauty line. Echoing the four minute advertisement she filmed to accompany the collection below, at the event Kate jammed with The Vaccines before stripping off, flinging on a red dress and fleeing in a helicopter.

Kate’s collection was released on the 28th September, and contains seven shades – all hand-picked by Kate – packaged in chic matte black that Rimmel say represents her ‘glamorous rock’n’roll style,’ and personalised with the supermodel’s signature in vivid red.

Kate said her inspiration for this range was to create a range of easy to wear, classic shades that she has always worn and loved, so in effect it is all Kate!

She goes on to say, ‘From bright reds to soft pinks and nudes, there is a shade for everyone and any occasion. It was also really important for me that they were comfortable to wear.

‘Whatever your outfit there is sure to be a shade to match.’

For a mother of two, Stefani looked particularly glam in a simple, yet sophisticated look consisting of black cut-out tunic style top and tight trousers, which she teamed with a snazzy striped jacket and black sandals. The glamour was all in the hair though, as she wore it in a big and bouncy windswept style, accompanied by shimmering rockstar eye-makeup and pink lipstick. We think Gwen has cleverly balanced the glamorous side of her look with a rock-chick edge in the form of her jacket, hairstyle and make-up and she clearly looks stunning.

The No Doubt front-woman recently celebrated her 42nd birthday and she certainly has a lot to show for her years. Not only is she one of the worlds most stylish ladies, she also rocks out frequently in a band and has also tried her hand at fashion designing with her label, L.A.M.B. It was recently revealed on the official No Doubt website, that Gwen and the rest of the band are currently working on a brand new album. In the blog post written by the band, they say: “The past twelve months have been eventful; we performed for Paul McCartney and President Obama at the Kennedy Center Honors, three beautiful new No Doubt babies were born, and we’ve recorded in studios all over Los Angeles.”

And as if that wasn’t enough, Stefani is also set to release a children’s clothing line in collaboration with US store, Target. The new children’s range will be titled Harajuku Mini and will be available in Target stores across the US and Online, from November 13th 2011 with a second installment in January 2012. Prices will range from $3.99 to $29.99.

Sitting on the front row of the Dior show was none other than Kerr’s husband, Orlando Bloom, who was seen snapping pictures of the model as she strutted her stuff on the catwalk.

One of the key outfits worn by the model for the Dior show was a romantic and feminine, black and pink tiered chiffon gown, while her look for the Lanvin show was slightly more edgy as she wore a cream and black, embellished asymmetrical mini-dress.

The dress is simple and sophisticated and gives Leighton a cute, girly look. Her chocolate locks and blunt bangs look great against the white of the dress and she cleverly accessorised with a pair of Louis Vuitton heels, complete with triple white bow detailing.

She also rocked some Dior fine jewellery and Dior ‘Promenade’ handbag with chain handle. She finished off the look with a pink lipstick and dark eyes.

The glamorous Lea recently attended Variety’s 3rd Annual Power Of Women luncheon in Beverly Hills and wowed in a sophisticated and charming outfit. The Glee star wore a stunning Ivory Katharine Kidd Spring 2012 mini dress with contrasting chiffon panels and cute puff sleeves. Lea accessorised the dress with a pair of simple Gold Christian Louboutin sandals, beige Fendi clutch bag and Melinda Maria Gold earrings. She wore her hair in a fun, messy up-do style and worked the pink lipstick.

The organza jacquard dress looks great on Lea’s slim figure and even gives her slight curves in some places. The puff sleeves are extremely fun while not being too over the top and the contrasting panels give the dress some interest rather than being a plain all white piece.

Lea exudes a cool confidence on the red carpet, although she may not be feeling completely on top of things recently after it was announced that she has split from long term boyfriend Theo Stockman. The pair, who dated for over a year have parted ways amicably it seems, with a rep confirming the split: “This is not a dramatic breakup, the relationship just ran its course. They are still friends and will always be friends.”

Every year, Teen Vogue magazine holds a prestigious ‘Young Hollywood Party’ to celebrate the rising stars in the industry and this years bash was nothing short of fabulous. Of course, Hailee Steinfeld was one of the main attractions of the event, which took place at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on September 23rd, and she appeared on the red carpet looking her monochrome best.

Hailee rocked a very glamorous black and white Versace Resort 2012 dress with asymmetrical hemline, but it was her choice of accessories that really made the outfit a success. Contrasting against the black and white, Hailee wore neon yellow pointed heels and matching clutch bag. She opted for a bronze make-up look and styled her hair in a loose ponytail.

Hailee’s stint as character ‘Mattie Ross’ in True Grit was what really propelled her into the spotlight in 2010 and of course, this has led to her gaining one of the most prestigious parts available to aspiring actresses, as she is set to play Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ alongside her Romeo, Douglas Booth. The 1996 adaptation of the famous love story, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes was a huge success but this 2012 remake is set to star a new, young cast and bring the story to a brand new audience.

Prestigious brand, Yves Saint Laurent have declared their love for the English beauty and have snapped her up to be the face and ambassador of their iconic ‘Opium’ fragrance. The television campaign, shot by Romain Gavras, features Emily coming face to face with a leopard and will debut in October. The campaign will also be accompanied by print images, shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Emily is said to be ‘honoured’ about the collaboration with YSL. “It is a really exciting experience to embody this legendary fragrance, which has stood the test of time,” she shared. “Being a part of this new campaign and being able to tell the story of this very evocative fragrance is a real thrill.”

In a statement following the news, YSL president Renaud de Lesquen said: “She quite obviously embodies who we feel to be today’s Opium woman,” and we certainly agree as we can’t get enough of the lovely Emily Blunt and think she is the perfect person for the new campaign.
